I'm Helen,

I am a mother of three, four if you count my fur baby, immensely proud grandmother of five and like to think of myself as being a patient person thanks to my little angels.

I have been working in care for as long as I can remember and wouldn't change it. I started out aged 17 working with adults with special needs in a care home in Scarborough, I did this alongside managing a childcare centre for 19 years. I have worked in multiple care homes and have provided mobile care, for varying levels of disability.

I pride myself on delivering the level of care I would give to my own family, to every one entrusted to my care. Due to my personal experiences with dementia and Parkinson's due to my Dad having Alzheimer's and Parkinson's at a young age, I have gained the passion and enthusiasm to provide the best support I can for individuals who live with the struggles of Dementia and Parkinson's. I also carry this enthusiasm into Palliative Care to ensure that I can support the individuals through the last years if their life by providing a high level of quality care, and I promote positive environments to improve quality of life.
