I'm Elisabeth, but everyone calls me Lis!

I have lived in Filey for 16 years and absolutely love it here. I am a mother to one and a grandmother. Having first worked as a support worker then having to pursue a different path as a manager within a supermarket, I realised my heart belonged to working in care and so returned to this role as soon as I was able, I then worked in domiciliary care. I realised my passion for care when my Mother was diagnosed with Vascular dementia, I also supported my Father through his terminal cancer, this allowed me to gain empathy that I now use in my every day role. My understanding of Dementia and Cancer has provided me with an insight on how to further support individuals in my care and ensure that all individuals receive good quality care.
